NTU Singapore was host to the second edition of the Singaporean Researchers Global Summit (SRGS) on 20 and 21 September.

The two-day event, held in a hybrid (virtual and in-person) format, brought together Singapore Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and connected Singaporean researchers both home and abroad to exchange ideas and knowledge.

Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies Heng Swee Keat was the Guest-of-Honour for the opening ceremony of SRGS 2021, which was themed “Opportunities in Research, Innovation and Enterprise Plan (RIE) 2025”.

The RIE2025 is a government plan that seeks to build on the progress of previous national investments in the area, as science and technology will be key to Singapore’s ability to meet future challenges and to respond to shifts in the global economy.

A new Social Science Research Council (SSRC) Graduate Research Fellowship (GRF) was also announced at the event by Education Minister, Mr Chan Chun Sing. For more information, please visit https://www.ntu.edu.sg/research/srgs/ssrc-grf.
